My Favorite Clan

Sunday I got to see Twilight with some of my friends. On one hand I was really looking forward to seeing the movie, because I loved the book. On the other hand I was very skeptical, because I loved the book. ;-)


My greatest worry was the possibility that I might not like the characters, the way they were portrayed in the movie. Fortunately my worry was unfounded. I loved the movie, the characters, the music ... everything. :-)

Baby, it's cold outside ...

It was really cold last week and I had this fluffy yarn lying around so I decided to make a scarf. It turned out really nice and soft and I like wearing it, but it was not much fun to knit.

Also my sixth pair of socks is finished and the sock blockers arrived, so now it is easy to take nice pictures without having to show off my feet.

Winchester Boys

Having gorgeous Simon Baker look at me from my blog made me happy, so I decided I needed to post some pictures of my favorite boys Sam and Dean. They are both so lovely!

Mentally Gorgeous

One of my favorite new series is The Mentalist. Simon Baker is so charming and lovable, he won me over after just one episode. That the show won the People's Choice Award for 'Favorite New TV Drama' made me happy, since it will drastically increase the chance, that we will see a second season.

All Wrapped Up

Jennifer wanted to wrap herself in something warm, to keep out the draft at work. As a result I made her this shawl in teddy-brown and from the leftover yarn some matching fingerless gloves.

Sock Day

Two more pairs of socks are waiting to be posted, numbers 4 and 5.

Six is still on the needles. The colorful one is made with Opal Harry Potter yarn, the Harry colors. Even though in my opinion the colors don't have anything to do with Harry Potter, nevertheless I really like the way they look.

Wedding Bells

On Friday it finally happened. Mandy and Jo have tied the knot!!

It was early in the morning and freezing weather, but that didn't stop friends and family from witnessing the lovely ceremony.

The wedding celebration was on Saturday. A very nice party with great food, lots of nice people and a good time for all!!

Today ... something different

I've decided to give the socks a rest, at least for today ... ;)

Last night I finished the shawl I made for Jennifer. It was done blocking and I just had to weave in the ends. Now the package can be sent off tomorrow. :) Pictures will follow!

First Entry

Today I finally got around to setting up this blog, so I would have a place where I can show off the things I make to my friends and family.

Since this is First Entry I will start by showing the very first pair of socks I knit.

Even though I've been knitting off and on since school, I never quite got around to knitting a pair of socks.

But I really enjoyed it and right now I am already on pair number 6 and lots of ideas in my head. :)
